Making Edit brief
Start your board in a minute
- Add co-packers from 1,960 listings, or any you found elsewhere.
- Move each one along as you talk: reached out, in talks, quote in, samples, chosen.
- Type in each quote. The board shows who really costs least at your run size.
- on your board
- reached out
- quotes in
- of your search
How the board compares quotes
- Landed cost per unit is the co-packer's fee, plus your ingredients and packaging unless the quote includes them, plus setup, testing, and freight spread over the run.
- Minimums count. If a co-packer's minimum is bigger than your planned run, the board prices the run at their minimum, because that is what you would have to buy. It also shows the cash you need to start.
- The winner can change with volume. A higher setup fee with a lower unit fee wins on bigger runs. Slide the run size and the board shows the point where the cheapest co-packer changes.
- Your numbers only. The board never fills in prices for you. Quotes come from what each co-packer tells you, and numbers you guess yourself are marked as your estimate.
- Blank is unknown, not free. A quote without setup, testing or freight shows "at least" and names what is missing, so an incomplete quote never looks cheaper than it is.
Common questions
Is My project free?
Yes. No account, no email, no limit beyond 60 co-packers in one project.
Where is my project saved?
In this browser on this device only. Nothing in it is sent to CoPacker Index unless you send a match request. Clearing your browser data, or using a private window, can erase it, so use Export to keep a file you can import again here or on another device. The private link carries the co-packer list after the # in the link, which browsers never send to a website.
How does it work out landed cost per unit?
The co-packer's fee per unit, plus your ingredients and packaging unless the quote includes them, plus setup, testing and freight divided by the run. If their minimum is bigger than your run, it prices their minimum.
Does my project change which co-packers you recommend?
No. Matching never uses your project and is never paid. If you request introductions, the directory co-packers in your project go along as your picks, and we check that they fit first.
