How CoPacker Index works
CoPacker Index helps brands find a co-packer: a company that makes and packages your product for you, under your brand. It lists 1,960 co-packers in 50 states and DC, 1,722 of them USDA organic certified and checked against the public USDA record. Here is the whole site in plain words.
Three ways to find your co-packer
1. Search yourself
Look through all 1,960 co-packers by product, state and certification. Every listing shows where its facts come from.
Search co-packers2. Get matched free
Tell us what you make and how much you need. We pick up to 3 co-packers by fit and introduce you when one says yes.
Get matched free3. Let us do the asking
We ask 6 co-packers that fit the same questions, follow up once with each one that stays quiet, and send you a written comparison inside 15 business days. Charged only after you say yes.

- You describe your product. What it is, how much you need, and whether it must be organic, in three short steps.
- We pick the co-packers that fit. Up to 3, by fit only: organic certification when you need it, product type, other certifications and location. Paid placement never counts.
- They see your request without your name. If you allow it, co-packers first see a short summary without your name or contact details.
- We introduce you when one says yes. One email to both of you, and you take it from there.

Words you will see
- Co-packer
- A company that makes and packages products for other companies' brands. Also called a contract manufacturer.
- Minimum order
- The smallest run a co-packer will make for you, often counted in units, cases or gallons. See minimum orders explained.
- USDA organic certified
- The facility appears with active organic certification in the USDA Organic INTEGRITY Database, the public record of certified organic operations. Listings link to the certificate where USDA publishes one.
- Not organic certified
- A facility whose own website says it makes products for other brands, but that is not on the USDA organic list. It is never suggested to a brand that needs organic.
- Certifier
- The certifying agent that certified a facility as organic. Each organic listing names it, and you can browse co-packers by certifier.
- Not yet reviewed
- We have not yet read this company's website, so the listing shows only what the USDA record says. Ask the co-packer what it makes.
- Brief
- A one-page summary of your product, run size and needs that co-packers can answer. The Brief builder writes one for you.
- Sponsored
- A co-packer paid for a Featured spot at the top of state, category and product pages. It never changes which co-packers we suggest to you.

Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Searching the directory, every listing, the free tools and a match request are free for brands, and they stay free. The only paid option for brands is the Sourcing Sprint, and you never need it to use the free service.
Do I need an account?
No. You can search and use the tools without signing up. A match request takes three short steps and asks for your email so we can reply.
Will you ask for my recipe?
No. We never ask for your recipe or formula, and we never sell your details. See the privacy note.
When do I pay for the Sourcing Sprint?
Only after you say yes to it. It is $499, one time, with a full refund if we miss the deadline. See what it includes.
